SimCity review by Tyson

Overall

Buy

The popular PC simulation game has made its way to the SNES and it is an awesome port. If you enjoyed the PC version or if you love simulation games then SimCity is the game for you.

Gameplay

SimCity is a game where you start with some cash and are told to build a city. You will build power plants, power lines, setup commercial, industrial, and resident zones, and build various other buildings to help your town. While this may not sound like it is super fun trust me that it is actually very enjoyable. There is an awesome feeling when you finally get a growing city going.

The game does try to change things up with having various disasters happen in your city. You will need to find a way to fight fires, plane crashes, and even Bowser rampaging through out your city.

The only real problem that I found in SimCity was that the game does have a slow pace to it. This is definitely a game where you will want a magazine to read or watch some television as you are playing the game.

Control

SimCity has a pretty decent control setup. The control is simple to use since many of the functions are used with menus. You change what you want to build with my clicking its button on the side of the screen or go into various menus by clicking their various buttons.

Graphics

I find the graphics in SimCity to be very basic but they work for this kind of game. They do have a little bit of nice touches here and there such as seeing black dots move around on the streets.

Sound

SimCity has some nice and calming music but that is pretty much all there is. You will have a few sound effects here and there but overall everything is pretty basic.
